How can I buy the Curing Childhood Cancer
car tag? You must visit your local tag
office and request a Curing Childhood Cancer tag. You may print detailed instructions
under the link How To Buy a Car Tag .
Why is it urgent that I buy the tag now? The more the tags are
purchased and placed on cars thru out Alabama the more people will ask for
the tag.
What does the tag benefit? Proceeds from the tag
benefit pediatric cancer research conducted by the Division of Pediatric
Hematology/Oncology at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, which
treats over 95% of children with cancer in the state.
How much does the tag cost? Will I be
charged every year? Like every other specialty
tag, the Curing Childhood Cancer tag costs $50 and will cost $50 each year that
you renew the tag. Personalization is included in this cost, so you may personalize
your tag at no additional charge.
What if I have two vehicles? May I buy a
tag for each car? Yes! We encourage you to purchase
the tag for all your vehicles, as each purchase will count toward research
funding. You will simply need to purchase a tag for each vehicle – so be sure to bring the necessary
tag and vehicle
registration information for each car when you visit the tag office.
When will I actually receive my tag?
You can pick up your Curing Childhood Cancer tag as you purchase it at your
local tag office.
What if my local tag office does not have information
regarding this tag?
All tag offices in the state of Alabama have the necessary information
for the Curing Childhood Cancer car tag. If necessary, ask for a supervisor to assist you and tell them that the secondary
tag type code is 60.
Can I buy the tag online?
No. Not at this time.
How can I help promote the tag in my community?
You can help us spread the word about the Curing Childhood Cancer
car tag by encouraging all your friends and family members to purchase a tag
for their cars. You can also print a copy of the main web page to post in your
workplace, church, school, or other places in your community. Email is also
a powerful tool – you can forward a link to
www.curingchildhoodcancer.org
